TENT CITY CAMP SITES

Join the community of Winton’s Way Out West Fest by being part of the tent city where patrons from all around Australia will come to meet each other, join in the festivities and create the region’s biggest ever pop-up village.

Tent City Camping is conveniently located right next to the Main Concert venue in Winton on what was the original Winton cricket oval and will be fully serviced with Showers, Toilets, and a Central Kitchen Facility. The Camp Area will have 24/7 security and your own car park close by.

These quality tents are roomy, cabin style tents with screened windows on 3 sides, a zippered front door and an entry awning. Each tent is fully floored, carpeted and fitted with an internal 12v light.

Breakfast is included in your booking and is provided at the Tent City Central Kitchen.

One, two or three adults can be accommodated per one room tent, and up to 4 adults in the two room tents. All tents are fitted with wire-based metal framed beds with foam mattresses.

Room for Ute/Tent/Swag/Camper Trailer with showers and toilets - you receive up to 4 camping arm bands (4 nights) area 7m x 7m - only 1 Camper/Vehicle permitted per site - overflow car parking for additional vehicles and guests is situated near the entrance to the showgrounds.

LARGE SITE 2- 6 person
You select the number of arm bands you require to access your camp site - The Large Site has room for Utes/Tent/Swag/Camper/RV/Van with showers and toilets near buy you receive up to 6 arm bands (4 nights) area 7m x 14m

As our unofficial national anthem, ‘Waltzing Matilda’ has inspired a nation and this April, Australia celebrates the re-opening of the iconic Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton with the biggest inland music and culture festival ever held in Queensland, Winton’s Way Out West Fest.
Bringing together artists from country, pop, rock and blues, the first annual Winton’s Way Out West Fest presents Jessica Mauboy, John Williamson, The Living End, Kip Moore (USA), Lee Brice (USA), Sheppard, Busby Marou, Russell Morris, The Black Sorrows, Pierce Brothers and more to be announced playing across the four-day festival from April 19-22.

The Waltzing Matilda Centre is the first museum in the world dedicated to a song. ‘Waltzing Matilda’ was written by ‘Banjo’ Paterson whilst holidaying in Winton on Dagworth Station. Legend has it that this song was first performed in public at North Gregory Hotel. Opened in 1998 and becoming an icon of the area, the centre was destroyed by fire in 2015. The brand new $22 million Waltzing Matilda Centre was designed by award winning Cox Architects and built by A Gabrielli will once again become the heartbeat of the outback when it re-opens with Winton’s Way Out West Fest in April 2018.
